The specific treatment of hypertension in pregnancy is still a matter of dispute. In the United Kingdom, some obstetricians never use antihypertensive treatment in the management of even severe preeclampsia [1]. Instead, emphasis is given to the use of anticonvulsants such as diazepam or chlormethiazole.
