AbstractIntroductionLaparoscopic Nissen fundoplication is the most common surgical procedure performed for gastroesophageal reflux disease (GORD). It is however associated with a number of mechanical complications with as many as one in three patients experiencing troublesome dysphagia or gas bloat.
