AbstractCommunicative Language Teaching (CLT) has a long history in the English language teaching scenario in Malaysia. It is an approach to language teaching which focuses on developing learners’ communicative skills through authentic language in meaningful contexts. Despite some negative feedbacks on CLT, this approach is seen to be potential in developing communicative skills in English among community college students in Malaysia, which is an important employability skill in Malaysia. Thus, the study hopes to investigate the teachers’ pedagogical approaches in implementing CLT in the classroom practices in selected community colleges in Malaysia.
