AbstractThe purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between learning styles and learning preferences of 100 prospective chemistry teachers. And also the role of gender in learning preferences was examined. As data collection tool, Learning Style Inventory developed by Kolb (1985) and adapted to Turkish by Aşkar and Akkoyunlu (1993) was used in order to determine prospective chemistry teachers’ learning styles, and Learning Preferences Inventory developed by Loo (2004) was conducted in order to determine learning preferences of the participants.
