Data mining and genetic algorithm application in bioinformatics with microarray

Genetic Algorithm in the bioinformatic can be categorised into many differet groups by the implementations they were instructed. Each approach has its own pros and cons. When making a choice between GA approaches to data mining, it is important that the scientist knows the advantages and disadvantages of each approach. In this project a suitable GA strategy will be identified and refined, based on microarray data mining. The research applies the improved GA approach to a life microarray database, provided by a biological research institution to analyse and visualise the results so as to assist further development of biological strategies for identifying disease and evaluating drug applications
