International audienceCutting-edge medical techniques, of which medical imaging is a keystone, are intimately linked to social representations of the body. How today can we consider body image without taking into account the influence of medical advances in this field ? Our everyday vocabulary is steeped in medical language and clinical practice shows the far-reaching effects of this.
