Fuera de juego: variables cualitativas de la luz en la arquitectura

According to architecture, lighting design involves a high sensitivity keep with the intended use of each project. One of the key issues in defining the indoor environment is the optima! planning of daylight, providing sustainable solutions with high visual comfort considering the latest findings from the psychology of perception. Qualities of light that doesn't determine the visibility of the task to be executed or not affect our visual activity, visual comfort or standard of quality and design that has nothing to do with the visual performance, have been derived today to the background. This other undefined qualities that are desperately emphasized in architecture magazines and are more related to poetic image than to a scientific and rigorous analysis of the space and daylight. These qualities achieved by a sensible architecture, published as extraordinary achieved only by sorne architects who have the innate ability or just the interest and ability to devote sorne time to a luxury material, superfluous and unnecessary (Chapter 3). Besides this, it has gane enough time to realize that the theories of daylight and based on a number of measurable variables assessments does not always coincide with the actual degree or the users comfort and subjective assessment of indoor environments (Chapter 2). The first goal of the research is to identify, record and compare together the largest number of technical and artistic references in which all these other variables concerning the design of daylight and space are included. The second goal is to provide a simple tool that would contain the wide range of light qualities not included in the methods of calculation and design of existing light. The third goal is to analyse in real condition of use the daylight in 24 bioclimatic models. Achieved these goals,we obtain as a result of the investigation, based on a more detailed understanding of any daylight environment without sacrificing the overall understanding of the reality around us. The result is the recover for an instan!of our holistic vision of light and space.En consonancia con la arquitectura, el diseño de la luz implica una sensibilidad acorde al uso previsto de cada proyecto. Uno de los temas claves a la hora de definir el ambiente interior es la planificación óptima de la iluminación natural, proporcionando soluciones sostenibles con un alto confort visual teniendo en cuenta los últimos hallazgos de la psicologfa de la percepción. Las cualidades de la luz que no determinan la visibilidad de las tareas a ejecutar o que no afectan a la agudeza visual,el confort visual o cualquier criterio de calidad y diseño que no tenga que ver con el rendimiento visual, han quedado derivadas hoy en día a un segundo plano. Estas otras cualidades no definidas, se recalcan desesperadamente en revistas y artículos de arquitectura, más relacionados con la poética de la imagen que con un análisis cientifico y riguroso sobre el espacio y la luz natural. Las cualidades logradas por una arquitectura sensible, se publican como algo extraordinario logrado sólo por algunos arquitectos que han tenido la habilidad innata o simplemente el interés y la posibilidad de dedicar cierto tiempo a un material de lujo, superfluo e innecesario (capítulo 3). Además de esto, ya ha pasado el tiempo suficiente para darnos cuenta de que las teorlas de la luz natural y su valoración basada en una serie de variables cuantificables no siempre coinciden con el grado real de comodidad de los usuarios y su valoración subjetiva (capítulo 2). El primer objetivo de esta investigación era identificar, registrar y comparar entre sí el mayor número de referencias técnicas y artísticas en las que se incluyeran todas esas otras variables relativas al diseño de la luz y el espacio. El segundo objetivo, aportar una herramienta sencilla de trabajo que contuviese ese amplio abanico de cualidades lumínicas no contempladas en los métodos de cálculo y diseño de la luz actuales. El tercer objetivo, analizar en condiciones reales de uso la iluminación de 24 modelos bioclimáticos. Logrados estos objetivos, obtenemos como resultado de la investigación, la base de una concepción más detallada de cualquier ambiente luminoso sin renunciar a la comprensión global de la realidad nos rodea.
