MOTIVATION Tuberculosis (TB) continues to be a major public health problem in low and middle-income countries. India, with 2.8 million incident cases and 0.48 million deaths in 2015, is the highest TB burden country in the world. Early diagnosis and appropriate treatment is essential for TB control and health care providers play a major role in this process.
