The object of the experiment was to investigate the total concentration of estrogen hormones in the cows plasma during pregnancy (from 40 till 284 days). The cows were distributed in 4 groups (tab. 1) and average total concentration was from 138,86 (1st group) till 646 ng% (4th group). Significant differences were found between all groups with the exception of the 2 nd and 3 rd groups. The level of estrogen hormones during pregnancy is presented by the following equation (fig 2): y = 328,1391 - 4,2030 + 0,0207 x
