Planula larvae developed from anarchical type of cleavage and primary polyps obtained from parents of Turritopsis sp. (Hydrozoa, Anthomedusae) that collected in Tanabe Bay, Wakayama Prefecture, Japan are described, and a colony development until the first release of the youngest medusae is recorded from August 20, 2015 to October 4, 2016 (411 days). Medusa bud formation requires for more than one year from the primary polyp stage.
