During the collection and study of the fungi of South Africa, two interesting synnematous Hyphomycetes were encountered: Podosporium furcatum Sharma & Panwar on Ficus glumosa Del., a new record, and the rare Gibellula pulchra (Saccardo) Cavara on a spider of the family Salticidae. They are described and illustrated, and their taxonomic position is discussed
