AbstractThis research was carried out with the aim of determining the impact of active learning techniques on creativity in the Science and Technology course in the 2006-2007 academic years with 64 fifth grade primary school children included. The result of the study proves that the Science and Technology course that is supported with active learning methods increases students’ creative thinking levels significantly. Furthermore, the result of the analyses that are made to determine at which dimensions of creative thinking tests this difference emerges demonstrates that merely in the extent of the elaboration, a significant difference is found in favor of the experimental group
