Grass-planting and film-spraying material based on hydrophobicity-modified soil particles in preventing soil hardening

AbstractThe surface soil harden phenomenon of the grass-planting and film-spraying material based on hydrophobicity-modified soil particles has been studied in the present investigation. The reasons of the surface soil harden phenomenon was analyzed and the method to keep the soil from packing together was proposed. By changing the type of the surfactant and the dosage ratio of the material and adding a high-energy organic fertilizer, a series of components optimization experiments were designed. According to the soil harden degree through apparent observation and the material microstructure analyses with SEM, the combination of the hydrophobe water components and hydrophilic components were analyzed, which further verified the results of the components optimization experiment. The results showed that the surface soil harden phenomenon did not appear when the surfactants mass used of S(greases), P(Contains alkyl of polyethers) and E(Polyolefin ethers) being 6g homogeneously. High-energy organic fertilizer plays a certain role in inhibiting soil hardening with an optimal dosage of 0.1g in 0.0033m2area of the sand soil
