AbstractNasal epithelial cells are a representative and easy to obtain system of epithelial cells for the study of chloride transport. X-ray microanalysis (XRMA) allows the direct and simultaneous measurement of several elements of biological interest, including chloride. Here, a method is presented for the preparation of nasal epithelial cells for X-ray microanalysis and for the determination of chloride transport by this analytical technique
