AbstractIn this research laser surface remelting without protective coating with a 2kW Yb-fiber laser (IPG YLR-2000S) was applied in the Al–1.5wt.%Fe alloy in order to investigate the layer treated with different techniques of superficial characterization, thereby, the technique of optical microscopy, atomic force microscopy and low-angle X-ray diffraction were used.
