AbstractThe inhibiting effect of ouabain on sweat rate and sodium reabsorption is reversible by diphenylhydantoin. The increase in sweat rate produced by diphenylhydantoin was more marked than its effect on sodium reabsorption. These effects of diphenylhydantoin are thought to be due to an increase in active sodium transport in secretory and duct cells
