En fallstudie av kommunalt beredskapsarbete

During and after the Asian tsunami in 2004, it was clear that the Swedish rescue efforts were deficient in both planning and ability. The Swedish national agency for education found in 2006 that there are schools where the employees are not aware of the existence of a crisis plan even though it was generally regarded as important. A workable emergency plan is important since it gives the staff the mental preparedness to deal with a crisis. There is a lack of studies on emergency planning in representative institutions. For this reason I have performed a case study during 2011 of how the muncipality of Boden Children and youth administration produces a crisis plan.The study showed that it is often the common sense that decides how decisions will be made in crisis management. These participants are involved in the shaping of a crisis plan.
