Föräldrarelationens betydelse för upplevd stress : En enkätundersökning på tjejer 18-19 år

The purpose of this study was to investigate whether there was a connection between perceived stress among girls 18-19 years, and the relationship to the parents. The following research questions were asked to answer the study's purpose: What is the relationship of parents, how is the performance requirements perceived, which are the factors that stress, and the magnitude of the perceived stress? The study was a quantitative study in which data collection was done using a web survey. The web survey went out to 232 girls, 50 of the 232 girls responded the survey, which means a shortfall of 78%. Data processing of the results was made in the statistical program GraphPad Prism 6 where the tests consisted of Mann- Whitney test and the Kruskal- Wallis test. The results showed that 56% of the respondents had a better parent relationship, and 44% had a worse parent relationship. There was a significant difference in the perceived stress (p = 0,0053) and effects of stressors (p=0.0383) between these groups. Valid performance requirements were no significant differences (p=0,8452) between the groups. The study shows that there is a relationship between perceived stress and the relationship to the parents. Those with poor parent relations experience significantly higher stress than those with better parent relations. The health guider may in its efforts to promote health and reduce stress, greatly benefit from the results of the study as it indicates that a good relationship between parents and young girls can be a protective factor against stress.Validerat; 20130618 (global_studentproject_submitter
