This thesis is about an exploration of different methods and technologies to heighten the experience of immersion in a conceptual work of music, most specifically how I use ASMR in a musical context, sound effects within songs and how I compose a piece of music to relax the listener. I work with recording instruments, choir, sound effects and environmental sounds with a dummy head to enhance the experience of the music and the concept. In the process, I describe how I use the different methods to create some of the musical sections of the conceptual work and answer the research questions. The music I compose to relax the listener turns out to be not as relaxing as intended but still contributes to the mood of the story. I also find that the...
