The aim of this thesis is to examine the impact of a phase out of Swedish nuclear power on the electricity prices for Swedish households in the Nordic electricity market. One graphical model that is based on the supply curve for electricity and one econometric model are employed. The econometric model built on timedata for six variables that can be assumed to historically have affected the electricity price over the time period 1970-2013. This study has been restricted to data collection from only Sweden, Norway, Finland and Denmark. The results from the graphical model suggest that a 20 percent phase out of the nuclear powerproduction will increase the electricity prices by ap-proximately 9 percent.
