The partial element equivalent circuit (PEEC) method is a electromagnetic simulation technique suitable for mixed circuit and field problems. The technique is numerically equivalent to a method of moments solution using Galerkin solution. In this paper, the PEEC method is illustrated and applied to printed antenna structures where measurements are compared to simulations and analytical solutions. The possibility to use simplified PEEC models to decrease computation time is discussed with illustrative examples.Godkänd; 2001; 20061029 (ysko
