The aim of the thesis was to design and synthesize a type of zeolite with the characteristics of hydrophobicity, high porosity, and proper pore size, which can be used for high-performance adsorption of ethanol from aqueous solution. In addition, the aim was to synthesize hydrophobic microporous zeolites including theoretic and experimental content. The experiment was carried out using hydroxide basic system and hydrogen fluoride neutral based on hydrothermal methods. Pure silica zeolites with fewer defects are expected to be highly hydrophobic, highly porous and to have uniform pore size.
