Morphology, relative size and growth of the South African fur seal or Cape fur seal, Arctocephalus pusillus pusillus, from the coast of southern Africa are described and comparisons made to data available on the closely related Australian fur seal (Arctocephalus pusillus doriferus) and the New Zealand fur seal (Arctocephalus forsteri).
