In the Argentinian transitional justice process, women's issues were neglected by all the different mechanisms that attempted to redress the gross human rights violations perpetrated during the last military dictatorship. In other words, democracy failed women and relegated them to their traditional roles as keepers of the family at the time that they started to demand justice for their identities and bodily and sexual integrity.
