This study observed the swear words as shown by the writer's brother and his friends on Jalan Ngagel Timur, Surabaya. The data of this study which had been collected by a tape recorder and a diary were transcribed and analyzed under the parameters, namely: participants, time, place, topic, the way they do the conversation and intonation. Based on the data analyzed, it is found that the swear words mostly used by the writer’s brother and his friends were (1) cuk (from diancuk), (2) gendeng, (3) udelmu, (4) gathel, (5) jangkrik and (6) edan.
