PENGARUH PERJANJIAN PENYELESAIAN SENGKETA ASEAN TERHADAP PENGIMPLEMENTASIAN MASYARAKAT EKONOMI ASEAN

ASEAN is an organization of nations in Southeast Asia, declared in Bangkok on 5-8 August 1967. One objective of the establishment of ASEAN is to incrase the active co-operation and mutual assistance. And after the outbreak of the cold war’s most active cooperation within ASEAN is economic cooperation. Establishment of ASEAN Economic Community into ASEAN efforts to futher improve the integrity of its economy. But in its development ASEAN Economic Community could rise to a dispute , therefore ASEAN Economic Community must have a good dispute settlement mechanism. The problem of this thesis ere how the dispute settlement agreement to the implementation of the ASEAN Economic Community. And the research methods used in this thesis is a normative legal research that focused on the positive legal norms in the form of instruments-instruments internasional law governing the ASEAN. ASEAN Economic Community as well as dispute resolution processes in the ASEAN Economy Community. The results of legal research shows ASEAN Economic Community in its implementasion requires a dispute settlement mechanism that is better and more assertive. There sould be a judicial body to settle any dispute in the ASEAN Economic Community that the dispute resolution more effective and binding on member states ASEAN
