PELAKSANAAN PROGRAM BPJS KETENAGAKERJAAN BAGI PEKERJA INFORMAL DI BIDANG PETERNAKAN DAN PERTANIAN DI KECAMATAN GAMPING KABUPATEN SLEMAN

Indonesia’s 1945 Constitution stated that the Nation is obliged to guarantee every Indonesian Republic citizen’s welfare, including formal or informal manpower. One concrete form of that guarantee is through the Social Security system for workers in the form of Workers Social Security Agency (Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Sosial Ketenagakerjaan). According to Constitution of Social Security System, Workers Social Security Agency (BPJS Ketenagakerjaan) organizes four social security programs, namely Occupational Accident Benefit (JaminanKecelakaanKerja, JKK), Old-age Benefit (JaminanHariTua, JHT), Death Benefit (JaminanKematian, JM), with addition of Pension Benefit (JaminanPensiun) by 1 June 2015. The scope of BPJS Ketenagakerjaandoes not only include formal workers or Payment Recipient (Penerima Upah, PU) but also informal workers or Non-Payment Recipient (BukanPenerimaUpah, BPU). In its practice, there are still many informal workers that are not secured by BPJS Ketenagakerjaanyet, especially farmers and cattle breeders in Special District of Yogyakarta. There are even workers who do not know the existence of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, mainly due to the lack of socialization from local government bodies or local BPJS Ketenagakerjaan. For that reason, this undergraduate thesis raises the topic of Implementation of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan for Informal Workers in Gamping Sub-district of Sleman Regency
