In recent years there has been a steadily increasing interest in fully-integrated power conversion which has led to significant advances in this area. Switched-capacitor power converters, in particular, have proven to be a prime candidate because they rely only on capacitors and transistors, both of which are readily available in the monolithic context. In this presentation the different motives for integrated power conversion are discussed and the current state-of-the-art of fully-integrated switched-capacitor converters is extensively surveyed. Trends in terms of specifications, topologies and research focus in literature will be identified and compared to theoretical work. In the last part of this presentation, some predictions on futur...
