The influence of cervical conization on pregnancy and delivery outcome.

There is an increasing morbidity rate of cervical cancer in both Lithuania and in the world. Cervical cancer takes the fourth place according to frequency between oncological diseases among men and women. Cervical conizationis a procedure, during which cervical solidity is exposed; it is being used in order to suspend the development of invasive cancer for patients with premalignant alterations, as well as in early stages of invasive cancer. This type of intervention may have negative impact on upcoming pregnancies and deliveries. So the main objective of this survey is to evaluate the influence of cervical conisation on pregnancy, delivery and newborns‘ health condition. There was carried out a retro perspective case-control study, during which we analysed 929 women that gave birth in 2005 – 2015 years. During this period of time, there were 36344 women that gave birth on the whole. The women were divided in two groups: 304 women – target group (I) and 625 women – control group (II). The criterion for target group was condition after cervical conisation and a single baby pregnancy. The women for a case group were selected according to these criteria: age (+/- 5 years) and single baby pregnancy.
