Retrospective study of 299 cases of patients with anterior uveitis treated in Kaunas University of Medicine Eye department during 2004–2005 years was done. There were 48.2 % women (n=144, medium age 64.29±16.73 years), men – 51.8 % (n=155, medium age 54.31±17.41 years). 47.8 % patients had anterior uveitis in left eye, 46.5 % – in right, 5,7 % – in both eyes. Eye traumas caused anterior uveitis in 15.38 % cases, different infection (bacteria, viruses, fungi, parasites) in 31.44 %, systemic noninfection diseases in 13.71 %.
