Objective. To evaluate the maximally corrected visual acuity and contrast sensitivity under photopic and mesopic conditions with or without glare in pseudophakic patients implanted with either foldable or rigid intraocular lenses. Material and methods. A total of 83 patients after cataract surgery were examined at baseline and 8–12 weeks later: 47 patients with age-related macular degeneration (Group 1) and 36 patients without ocular comorbidities (Group 2).
