The aim of the research. To evaluate the sensory reactions and self-dependence of the patients after brain damage in the early rehabilitation period. Methods. The study was conducted in KMUC Neurorehabilitation section and Telšiai county hospital Rehabilitation department in 2009-2010. The study group consisted of 30 individuals who were divided into two groups. The first group contained 15 patients who suffered the brain stroke, 8 (53%) of them women and 7 (47%) men. The other group included 15 patients who suffered traumatic brain injuries, 4 (27%) of them women and 11 (73%) men.
