Breeded in Lithuania calves export research

Analyze and measure econimical activity results in calves sales, evaluate expanding possibilities of V. Milkeraitienė‘s farm and its risk factors. Tasks: a) Overview Lithuanian export market; b) .Analyze cattle export situation; c) Estimate calves export influence to Lithuanian husbandry growth and expansion. Research object: Vilija Milkeraitienė‘s farm econimical activity results reported in account books during 2005- 2008 year period. Research methods and conditions. Scientific literature was analyzed, structured and compared with research object, Lithuania statystics department and Lithuania Agriculture Ministry data. During research there were analyzed Milkeraitienė‘s farm cattle account data and econimical activity results during 2005- 2008 year period. Data analysis was made using Excel 2003 based on Windows platform. We calculated analytical indexes of the investigated objects dynamic data and applied linear prognosis, likewise graphical analysis method was applied too. Results and Conclusions : 1. Grownup livestock and its increment is constantly decreasing, on the contrary to increasing exported calves number. 2. Calves export is being done by companies which main activities are to buy up husbandry increment, accordingly the most of the profit goes to their pockets, not breeding farms. 3. Dairy breeding farms get fast mony having sold hogs to livestock shoppers but this is not stable income, becouse no any contracts for longer cooperation are made. 4. Having sold little calves farm looses direct benefits from government for grownup cattle, but only rare have conditions to live out livestock increment and unfortunately materializing of those conditions requires big investment. 5. Rise of calves buy price, even not big one (aproximately 7%) combined with little price for milk will for sure influence increase in little calves export. Organizing seminars for cattlemen about calves export influence to Lithuania breeding farms. Motivating Lithuania farmers to grow up livestock increment leaving the best of the cattle for reproduction, at the same time trying to sell and export the rest only after having them grown up. That should increase breeding farms profitability and would allow to get direct payoffs from the government
