Restrospective analytical analysis was performed in a number of x veterinary clinics. 49 cats and dogs x – ray’s were analysed, which were diagnosed in femur fractures. Femur fracture was diagnosed for 28 dogs and 21 cats. Between tested animals there were 35 males and 14 females. Most fractures seen in animals before 1 year of age and 1 to 3 years of age. In examination by weight trauma is usually suffered by smaller breeds of dogs and cats. Femoral fractures are more characteristic to crossbreeds than to breeding animals. The most common causes of femur injuries have been falling from hights as well as auto accidents, also many animals are injured due to unknown reasons.
