Efficiency treatment of hypocalcemia in dairy cows

Work studies were carried out in the period 2014-2016 years in Lithuania. The main objective was to analyze the hypocalcemia clinical symptoms, blood biochemical indicators. Clinical cases were collection in X farm. We founded 20 random cases of hypocalcemia after calving during the study period. Cows were divided into three groups. 1) clinically healthy (control), 2) Hypocalcemia (1g.), 3) Hypocalcemia (2gr.). Cows from first goup were treated by Calcio Ph. Cows from second group were treated by Calcium-Borogluconat. Injecting drug’s efficacy was determined by body temperature, blood biochemical indicators and hypocalcemia clinical symptoms. Healthy cows body temperature third day after calvig was 1,3% higher than hypocalcemia treated cows by Calcio Ph (p<0.008). Cows in the treatment of Calcio Ph found that calcium is less 25.36% compared to healthy cows (p <0.001). Healthy cows calcium in blood serum are 28,26% higer than cows treated by Calcium-Borogluconat (p<0.001). Healthy cows inorganic phosphorus concentration the first day after calving is 22.48% higher than cows of hypocalcemia from first group (p<0.001). Healthy cows inorganic phosphorus concentration is higher 25.97% than cows of hypocalcemia from second group.too (p<0.001). Healthy cows inorganic phosphorus concentration in blood serum second day after calving is higher 17.73 % than cows treated by Calcium-Borogluconat (p<0.03).
