Why do people who have suffered brain stroke need for occupational therapy at home? The aim of the study - to evaluate the independence of the skills and the need for occupational therapy at home for persons who have suffered brain stroke. Objectives of the study: 1. Uncover independence skills before and after rehabilitation for patients after stroke. 2. Describe the people who have suffered brain stroke self-sufficiency skills after a one-month period at home after rehabilitation. 3. Analyze the persons who have suffered stroke, self-sufficiency skills, through occupational therapy at home. 4. Evaluate occupational therapy needs at home for persons after stroke. Methods: The study was conducted as a qualitative study. It is also used in one of the specific qualitative research models - case studies, which allows to explore the factors as they exist, providing opportunities for studying complex phenomena in their context, the collection of data in different ways. The research case is a two-axis stroke suffered by women. Case data sources was conducted of two women after stroke by 8 interviews and observation. Conclusions: 1. Persons after stroke while returning home suffering stress, but the research cases most experienced of self-doubt the at the end of early rehabilitation. Obtaining motivation and positive emotions have helped improve self-sufficiency skills. Before the rehabilitation of both cases were dependent on the help of others, but after rehabilitation, both were able to eat independently, to go to the toilet and dress the upper part of the body. 2. After a one-month period after the rehabilitation subjects improved self-sufficiency skills from total dependence to the ability of independence at home, go to the toilet, dress and take care of personal hygiene. However, activities that are experienced the greatest difficulties remain similar, it's showering, movement and cooking. 3. For the purposes of occupational therapy at home noted that both research women were motivated to pursue the objectives of improving the independence, knowing what activities are most important to them: cooking, socializing with neighbors. 4.
