Incidence and pathomorphology of canine prostatitis

The aim and objectives of research: to determine the frequency of canine prostate and to assess morphological changes. Object and methods of research: to investigate prostate histology samples of 104 dogs, including prostate of the 89 dogs. There were 41 self-prepared histological samples. Blocks with prostatitis were cut off and dyed with Hematoksilin – eosin and Sirius red. Morphology of prostate samples determined the number of dogs that had prostate, prostate inflammation, type and stages of inflammation and type of pathology that occurred with prostate. All prostate cases were grouped according to breed, age, stage of inflammation and type of pathology that occurred with prostate. There was microbiological investigation accomplished.
