Health information in the practice of family physician implementing the national strategy of e.health

The aim of the study is to explore the need and opportunities of electronic health information in the practice of family physician implementing the national e. health strategy. Objectives: to evaluate the family doctors’ experience of information technology and e. health; to evaluate the family doctors' needs and expectations using the information in the net; to evaluate the family physicians’ attitudes towards health information in the net; to analyze the attitudes of family physicians towards the implementation of health information from the net; to evaluate the mean of health information for the relationships between family physicians and their patients. Recently, family doctors have been widely using modern information technologies and applied them to search the health-related information and deliver the health services. Use of the information technologies and their application in the field of e. health has been more common among young professionals and doctors working in urban area and in private sector, and it has increased along with the growth of average monthly income of the doctor. The doctors having more experience with the IT, as well as the ones belonging to younger age groups, working in urban area and in the private sector were more inclined to agree that health information in the net helps to empower the society. Electronic health information was mainly used by men and younger physicians. The usage was positively related to the monthly incomes.
