Aim of the study: The aim of this study was to establish, how the results of old horses biochemistry blood tests, such as glucose, total proteins and triglycerides change after the use of long acting or short acting glucocorticoids. Methods: There were 18 old sport horses in this study. All of them were stallions, who had old joint and back traumas. The horses were divided into the three groups: horses from the first group were treated with the short acting glucocorticoids – 2,0 ml / 100 kg. It remains in the body for up to 24 hours.
