The electricity distribution networks are increasingly characterized by the presence of non-linear power electronic devices and power plant equipment capable to create problems of harmonic pollution. However, to have the best performance of attenuation of the harmonics introduced by various non-linear loads it is common to use an Active Power Filter (APF). In this thesis is presented the analysis of one of these filters and the development of possible improvements. I realized a Matlab code that could reproduce the operation of the filter and tested its efficiency.
