In Memoriam: Dean Emeritus J. Ralph Beaird

Georgia Law regrets to announce the passing of Dean Emeritus J. Ralph Beaird, who served as dean of the law school for a total of 13 years and officially served on the faculty for more than 20 years, although he taught at the law school for approximately four decades. Beaird passed away on August 14. This revered leader, scholar, teacher and mentor will be missed. The memorial service will be August 18 at 12:30 p.m. at Athens First United Methodist Church. The arrangements are being handled by Bernstein Funeral Home.
