Distributed multimedia presentation, involving different media objects on different servers, must strictly follow its defined temporal scenario. Out of synchronization is a fundamental problem in case of distributed multimedia. In this paper, we introduce a distributed QoS handler, whose aim is to distribute the QoS adaptation tasks among all the servers holding the media object. In this case, the client is considerably freed from the QoS-related tasks and it focuses only on playing the received, adapted media objects and notifying the end of their presentation to the concerned servers.
