Abstract: This workshop will introduce two models for developing community engagement programs in libraries. One model uses a rubric to define developmental tiers across a number of components while the other is based on the liaison/outreach model of civic engagement that is developing at Rutgers University-Camden. Whether you are just starting to think about community engagement in your library or are looking for ways to take an existing program to the next level, this workshop will provide the tools you need. Throughout the afternoon, you will engage with colleagues in activities that will help you think about your organization, opportunities for engagement in your community, and how these two models might work for you
