Spanish bottom otter trawl (OTB) métiers within the North-eastern Atlantic (ICES Subareas VI, VII, and Divisions VIIIabd) have been identified through the application of multivariate analyses of landing profiles in terms of value (economic data) and total catches (biological data) over the period 2004–2006. The economic data uses information taken from logbooks and auctions for the period 2004–2006; while biological data is based on information taken from on-board sampling carried out in the same period.
