We studied the early phase of Alzheimer’s disease with two approaches, experimental and clinical. Firstly, experimentally, we injected Aβ oligomers in the brain of wild type mice. We showed that these soluble species elicited memory impairment reminiscent of those found in AD although in our case they were both acute and reversible. We also evidenced a decrease in the expression of a postsynaptic protein (PSD95), an increase in the phosphorylation of Tau and a neuronal hyperactivity one week after these injections.
