International audienceThe computerization of industrial design processes raises software engineering problems that are addressed by distributed component frameworks. But these frameworks are constrained by a set of antagonistic constraints, between performances and reusability of the components. In order to take up this challenge, we study how mobile code technology enables the improvement of performances without harming the components’ reusability. Our approach relies on a transparent, totally automatic introduction of mobility into the programs. This transformation is a local optimization which is based on a static analysis.
