Conducted emissions (CE) generated by the inverter and propagating along the high-voltage dc power bus in electric vehicles are predicted via a circuit model implemented in SPICE. Through extensive simulations, the impact of different functional operating points (in the typical torque-speed characteristic used to drive the motor) is put in evidence. Additionally, the role of radio-frequency noise propagation in the shielded cables of the dc power bus (electrically long at the wavelengths of interest) is investigated
