Objectifs. – L’apport énergétique à fournir aux sujets agressés est une question complexe et la calorimétrie indirecte (CI) est la méthode de référence pour le déterminer. La dépense énergétique (DE) mesurée par CI, avec le Deltatrac II®, a été comparée aux valeurs mesurées par un nouvel appareil de CI couplé à un ventilateur : l’E-COVX®. Matériel et méthodes. – Ces mesures ont été réalisées chez des patients agressés et ventilés, en unités de soins intensifs (USI). La consommation d’O2(VO2), la production de CO2 (VCO2), le quotient respiratoire (QR) et la DE ont été enregistrés.
