International audienceThis work is concerned with the exponential stability of an output-based control scheme where the measured output is subjected to event-triggered sampling. We propose a new event-based sampling criterion based on the memory of the measured output instead of only the current output. This allows to prevent accumulation of sampling times. The exponential stability is analyzed by using a Lyapunov-based approach, providing a link between the sampling criterion and the decay rate. Several numerical examples illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed event-triggered scheme
