The charges at liquid/solid interfaces are a key element for both understanding and exploiting the electrokinetic phenomena in micro/nanofluidics. The manuscript of my Ph.D thesis is dedicated to these phenomena, which is divided into three main parts: Above all, a simple overview of charges at the liquid/solid interface is proposed. Then, several common methods for measuring the zeta potential at the liquid/solid interface are described. Next, various effective methods to preconcentrate the biological molecules is presented with the help of the surface charges.
